HamWiki:Copyrights
HamWiki's content is free to reuse. The articles, the drawings and the photos taken for HamWiki are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA 4.0), the same license Wikipedia uses for its text.
What you may do
You may copy, share and adapt HamWiki's material for any purpose, including in club newsletters, training courses, presentations and other websites, as long as you:
- Credit HamWiki, link to the page you used and link to the license, for example: From the HamWiki article "Handheld antennas", https://hamwiki.org/index.php/Handheld_antennas, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/).
- Say if you changed it.
- Share alike: if you publish an adapted version, publish it under the same license.
Please don't republish large parts of HamWiki as if they were your own work. Credit and a link back are what the license asks for, and they help readers find the latest, corrected version.
What the license covers
- All article text and other HamWiki pages, except quotations from other works, which keep their original copyright.
- Diagrams drawn for HamWiki (marked "Drawn for HamWiki" on the file page).
- Photos taken for HamWiki by the HamWiki editor (marked "Photo taken for HamWiki" or "Photo by the HamWiki editor" on the file page).
It does not cover files from other sources, such as Wikimedia Commons. Those keep their own licenses, which are shown on each file's page together with the author's name. Trademarks and product names belong to their owners.
